Fractals are very common in nature. Due do the natural talent of this artist the flower looks almost real. In person this flower is considered a fractal because the biggest shape is on the bottom and then connected do it is the same shape over and over again, getting smaller and smaller. In theory fractals are infinite, but due to the laws of physics that is not possible in nature so this is a close as we can get.
